Hole in exhaust

I've just noticed my exhaust is blowing so it must have a hole in it. I was just wondering how much it usually cots to get it welded up or whatever.

Depends where the hole is. You can buy tape repair stuff from halfords to go around the pipe or box if it's small enough

ok but when it goes through the mot next time will I have to get that done properly.

the most expenceive part of the system (apart from the cat) is only £18 so i would just replace the worn part

eurocarparts.com, onlineautomotive.co.uk are another (might have a hyphen in there somewhere). both have good prices for exhausts.

Its better to fix it properly than a half arsed job that'll keep coming back (or get worse)

i get mine from unipart partco.

middle pipes £25, silencer £24, cat gasket £3 and silencer gasket rings £2

do they deliver or do you go pick it up

Partco are pickup only unless you have a trade premises, both the sites I mentioned deliver.

the holes about the size of a 5p if that, it's in the pipe just before the back box.

just put some gungum repair tape over it then if its small, does the job good enough

If I was to repair it like that would it still go through an MOT

yeah, I usually do it for MOTs anyway if theres a leak.
