high-rpm mis-firing

2001 uk 1.0 nissan micra

seems to misfire at high-rpm (5000-6000) and it can be different each time... for example, sometimes it wont start misfiring til 6000 but sometimes it'll start at 5000rpm.

occasionally it doesnt start as smoothly as it should do either. i have tried changing the spark plugs and i've tested both the fuel filter and the ignition coils...

ne ideas?

Just thought id mention its only done 40,000 miles (thats about 65,000 km i THINK), so i dont think (and hope its not) the throttle body...

Chances are being the 2001 model it has a newer type of throttle body on it that doesnt fault in the same way.

Have you checked/changed the ignition leads at all? I think the 2001 should be direct ignition?

Yes, its the new model and has the direct ignition, ive tested all the coils and they're all fine..

Could it be ECU/Electrical?
