High biting clutch

wanna verify first that ur car is a k12 micra like this one right? cos I believe they use a self-adjusting hydraulic clutch system.

k12.jpg

every time the clutch master-cylinder is fully released and the clutch plate wears thinner:
  1. the pressure plate rests closer to the flywheel,
  2. diaphram fingers move further away from the flywheel,
  3. nudging the release bearing closer towards the gearbox housing,
  4. pushing abit more hydraulic fluid back into the reservoir.

sounds like ur clutch plate is now wayy too worn & thin that the release bearing is resting against the gearbox housing and can't move back any further therefore raising the bite point.

basically you need to replace the clutch.

Yes mine's a k12 (converted from lwd to rwd).. They strengthened brackets so it wont squeal but after it, clutch bite higher..i dont believe clutch plate needs replacement since before they strengthened brackets, clutch is normal..

What do i need to replace if problem still persist? Is it the whole clutch assembly or clutch plate only?
