HELP Needed Urgently!

hey all

Havin a problem with my car today, quite a major one too i recon

Went out this morning to start it n go to work, no battery so i gave it a bump.... nothing!!

Engine turns, but wont run.

Charged the battery now its starts but doesnt rev, loses all power when you give it any, it just coughes and splutters n stops.

Got battery
Got fuel
Got spark
GOT NO POWER!!

Any ideas what it could be?

1.0 pre-facelift 1993

it sounds like fuel starvation maybe ? mine would tickover for a while if i removed the fuelpump fuse, and cough and splutter with any throttle
personally i would try wetting the air filter with fuel, but you have to be very careful in case it backfires tho

fuel starvation is what my dad thinks too, any solution to my problem that you can think of?

this happened when my 1993 k11 1.0lx fuel pump gave up
maybe starting togive up?

well if it revs up ok with the filter wetted then you need to check your fuel pressure really mate

its not too bad, (under the back seat) can you hear is running ?

yeah when you first turn the key and you get the buzz from the pump (lasts about 5-10seconds in my car) then nothin once its started

its supposed to kick in for about 5 secs then cut if the engine is,nt started andy, so the pump may be fine eh
