Headlight warning sound

hi there, when I turn the engine off, open the doors with the headlights still on it no longer emits the warning sound. I've managed to run the battery completely down thanks to this, is there an easy fix for this?

always run ya fingers round the end, if the sticky up bit is up, ya lights are on if not, stop being so dozy lol! (no offnece, its a joke mate!)

this thread has a bit of info for where the beep comes from (if you already know)

try having a look at the wiring near it to see if its all still working

i changed mine to a chime sound from a hyundai.

you need a positive feed from the lights (i used the light in the cig port)
then you need a negative feed (the driver side door switch)

the beep is generated by a pietzo *sp buzzer. there is also a cuircit back in the loom (under the guage pod if you take the dash out) and that pulses the power to give you the beeping sound.

those are the only things in the loom and if you bypass each one with a bit of wire you can find out which one isn't working
