I have a question about my k11 1L when I drive on the motorway I can hear a very light grinding noise which seems to come from the gearbox all the gears work fine it's done this since I have had the car which is about 4 mth when I put the clutch in the noise stops any ideas please

Thrust bearing maybe, would not be over concerned about it mate.
Have your gearbox oil changed as a starter I would.

If the whirring pitch follows rpm, it's worn input shaft bearing.
If it follows wheel speed, it's layshaft or diff bearing.

Thanks for that but am not sure rarely but it sounds like the gear box you can feel it lightly through the gearbox when driving but if I push the clutch in whilst rolling then it stops any ideas shoul I get rid of it quick ha ha it's only done 50000 and it's a 2002

when clutch pedal is NOT pressed- its gearbox anyway.

when otherwise- pedal pressed-clutch trust bearing.

mine have it too
