Gearbox question! bit confused!

Hey guys, first post!!

I have used the search function for the answers here, but cant find the right info!

I'm looking to change the gearbox on my micra, the car is a 1993 k11 1.0, and replacement gearbox I have is from a 1998 k11 1.0, will this combination work? Am i correct in thinking all I need to change is just the clutch, to the 180mm plate, and the flywheel only?

is the '98 1.0 a facelift? if so, then it'd be more involved than that, the rear engine mounts are different, the gear selector rod, driveshafts, your speedo drive won't fit either. it will fit, but you'd need all these things mentioned from a 1.3 pre-facelift.
'98 was the changeover though, so maybe it's a pre-facelift?

Well the gearbox came from an R reg car so i 'm not sure if thats a face lift or not? I did look at the speedo drive gear on the new box and it its a different sized cog to my 93 box?

then i'd say it's a facelift box, so more work needed to fit it.

Ok thanks for your help, I guess it makes sense just to find another pre facelift 1.0 box rather than go through the hassle of changing the bits and pieces to get the new box in!
