gearbox/clutch problem

i came on to a roundabout in third dropped down to second and the car made a rather odd noise then lost all drive an feel to the clutch pedal it now feels like its not attached but after checking the cable is fine has my clutch just gone or is this something more serious this is just what i need two months after my engine conversion lool

Gearbox off and check the clutch etc. Nothing else for it other than guessing really.

Loosing all drive combined with loose cable is unusual. Possibly a bearing collapse, but that would still leave you with drive (i.e. if you put it in gear and started the car it would jerk forward) OR friction disc failure, which would give no drive but the pedal should still feel normal ish.

Noise suggests its internal, so you may have no choice but to pull the box off, but it may be worth putting it in gear and trying to start to see if there is any drive there. If not then the box is coming off regardless.
