Gear Stick solid mounting plate

Hi Guys, spotted this on a F1000 for sale on Ebay, thought it might help stiffen the gear selecting up a little, might give it a go myself, could be a simple and effective mod.

the idea of 2 selector rods is for the gearstick body to move with the engine/gearbox eh paul (wot and lift), so will only work with very very stiff engine mounts

So this could end up making it harder to get into gear than anything else i guess!

nah, just make it jump out of gear on wot or lift

Had a problem with a mini I bought a few years ago with it jumping out of gear. Turned out the previous owner had fitted poly mounts on the gear selector which ment there was no movement when the engine rocked.

Mines fixed like that but in not such a posh manner. But I have nylon mounts :/

Works fine on mine with stiff engine mounts
