Who here actually has a set, and what do you think?? (Handelling / problems / comments).

Yes I did search the forum, but all the threads just turned into a bitch fight between the different brands.
I only want to hear from people that have G4/D2, or driven a car with them.

Also found these... are they all made in the same factory??
Who makes "G4" etc etc??

I am deciding if I want to buy low budget coilovers, or better brand springs and shocks..

Drift exhaust come out the same factory in taiwan as Greddy Trust...so these coilovers wouldn't surprise me..btw i did ask a friend to track down BC and G4...the brand dont exist there so...

i did have G4 on mine... they gave me the look i wanted but ride was rock hard...dampen adjust wasn't exactly accurate and eventually gave up and oil leaked out. maybe i had a dud but that me

I have G4s.
Ride is a bit harsh over big bumps, but they are coilovers so its expected.
The damper adjustment is just a rotate and see no ie. set clicking points as you rotate the allen keys like on other coils.
I havent adjusted mine height wise but they sit well on mine and thats at about half wound down.
They are very simple system. My set has no brake line clip points, like the OEM strut does, so i just cable tied the lines out of the way

Ben129 has D2s in his and they are nice and low like 40mm at front sway bar.

Handling wise i went from dead standard struts (boat) to coils, front strut brace and panhard rod. And was an epic gain in ride and handling.
Eg a corner i use to take at ~85 with tyres starting to squeal, i can now take at 90 without an issue.

No issues to report with mine so far (and they were second hand off brendan on here)
I will have a look at them on the weekend when i fit my wheels and see how they are holding up.

I was going to buy the BCs then the G4s came up on here for a third of the price...
From what i understand BCs are basically a newer/better version of G4s. (justjap used to sell g4s)

My brother has BCs in his mx5 and they make it more of a go kart somehow.

You cant get G4/D2 anymore anyway. my opinion is due to bad rep...so just jap brought cut em out the BC($200 more) they are much better quality and have copied specs from tien... personally i think it's a aussie branded same factory Taiwan made. only difference was this time we decided to pay bit more for quality.
