Fuel filter change

Hi all


just wondering where the fuel filter is located
the car has 82k on it and i dont think its been changed since new
will do any damage if i leave it abit longer
i can get one for a few £
just dont have the time to change it
also is it a big job to change ??

very simple job to change, its located on the right hand side (as you are looking at it) of the engine bay at the back, normaly i would just pull the hoses off the old one and stick the new one in, but some on here would recormend getting rid of the fuel in the pipes first (take the fuel pump fuse out and start the car, let it run until it dies, which will take a few secs (run out of fuel) and then change the filter (dont forget to put the fuse back in! lol)

Let it die then try and start it a couple of times, the fuel will still be there so be careful cause it still chucks out, but this releases the pressure.

do i have to pull the fuse out ???
and the starting thing ???

if you don't then you will pull the pipe of and it will go pop and spray fuel everywhere. It only takes a sec to pull the fuse out.
