So i got a new pioneer headunit and have had it about 6 months. but now, in the last 2 months the "audio" fuse keeps blowing (about 6 so far!!!)
I went to my local audio store yesterday and they rewired the power feed and made a new line with a new fuse.
but then 30 mins later it blew again!
does anyone know why fuses keep blowing. it seems to happen mostly when i corner too fast or when i go over a bump.
Please help!

Id be checking for a short somewhere thats causing that one.
even tho you got the constant 12v feed replaced, id be checking earth points etc.

Did it blow fuses with the stock stereo?
Was it professionally installed?

make sure none of the speaker connections are rubbing on anything, and that the remote wire (usually blue) end isn't bare and shorting on any metal behind the unit

stock speakers or aftermarket?

wow m8 ive just had a thought!!!
you spoke about the remote wire?? well i did have a sub and amp system in the boot...but unfortunatly that broke so i got rid of it but still kept the remote (blue wire) for the amp in!
could that be it then??
even though it always seems to blow when i go over a bump or round a corner too fast??
thanks alot mate

sounds like its definately shorting out on something

the remote wire has 12v running down it when the CD player is on so i'd be making sure thats taped up properly with some electrical tape
