Fitted stereo now blower blows cold?....

Took my standard stereo out & fitted my kenwood in yesterday but now the blowers in the u it above are blowing only cold? All the others blow warm! Could I have dislodged something or blown something? I had. Alook at wires but could only see breakdown lights & rear heated screen work fine... Any ideas? I have the 1997 r reg before the facelift if that makes sense.

its a common design flaw that when the heater dial is diverted towards hot and the flow diverter dial is not set to "full-face" the center vents will blow unheated air (air leaked past the diverter vane) while the outer vents blow heated air (air diverted through the heater matrix).

found the center face vents will only receive hot air when set to face-only mode.
not convenient in winter when u need to heat the windscreen to prevent fogging AND heat your frozen fingers n toes at the same time.
tbh there should be a "blow hot air out of every possible vent" mode in cars rather than a select few
