Exterior Spraying

Ok, got myself a Super S front bumper (albeit still attached to the car), and i asked my mates dad if he could spray it black for me as he's just done a full respray of my mates car in his garage (to gloss black), and he said he wont do it because its a different kind of paint...

...Is this true? What kind of paint do you guys use and what would you recommend for me to spray the bumper with? I'd prefer to just use stuff from tins as i wouldnt have much extra use for a spray gun.

certain types of paint (1k, or uncured 2pack etc) will react when sprayed with cellulose paint or rattle cans, you can spray a barcoat on if it does

Thats it he said it was a 2pack paint. Would i be better off saving up for a spray shop to do it then?

if you rattle can it dry (hold the can well back) it probably wont react, same with the laquer, but mopping a shine to it afterwards is hard work tho :glance:
