exhaust

is it normal for a new bck box to sound louder as i had a new centerpipe and new bckbox fitted and it sounds louder ive check to see if there was any air escaping from the joints but nothing

This is quite common, depending on what make and quality youve got on there, sometimes its a case of driving it for a while and letting it get some carbon build up, if it stays the same take it back under warranty and get a new one, weve fitted a few where the manufacturer has put next to no baffles in there to save money but the noise can be bad.

We get the same all the time, you really get what you pay for when it comes to aftermarket exhausts (walker 2yr are one of the best to go for).

Agree with that, walker do seem to be one of the better quality ones to get, we usually fit timax as our higher range exhausts, but lately even some of those have been bad, suppose its the affect of the credit crunch on all manufacturers!
