hi i was just going to buy a rage stubby backbox for my micra, probly the ST3.. i went to a few local garages to ask how much to cut the old one off and weld the new one on and they said about £60.. this was the cheapest quote i had, the other said £75.... i was wondering is this abit to much or not? they only need to put a reducer in from 52mm to 42mm he said to me which would cost £5!!! i was wondering how many other people have had experiences like this and how much people paid to get a new backbox put on instead of the original. all my pipework is ok so is doesnt need replacing so it was just the backbox fitting onto the old pipework?? thanks adam

wouldnt it work out cheaper to buy one of theseseeing as they should be straight swap and could do it urself ?
