Engine trouble....

last week i blew my head gasket ... so i started to remove the head...
and 2 of the #### head bolts broke in half... so 2 of the half headbolts are still in the block.... i tried to weld a nut to the remaining part of the head bolt and loosen it, but it broke again and again...
now to my question..

my dad got this strange idea:
is it possible to weld a new headbolt, cut in half, upside down to the remaining of the old headbolt to tighten up the head with a nut instead of a bolt??

o= Headbolt
x= Broken Headbolt
c= cylinder

inlet side
o o o o o
c c c c
o x o x o
exhaust side

i think i need a new head too...
i have a big crack between the intake valve and the exhaust valve on the 3rd cylinder

but
Maybe it is easier to do a engine transplant...

I would say it would be easier and probably cheaper in the long run to do an engine transplant, are MA10 engines easy enough to come by in Sweden ?

the MA10 is hard to find (i have found a few but the closest one is long drive away ... more than 400km)
and
the MA12 is very easy to find,

how hard is it to transplant the MA12 engine?
do i need the gearbox from the MA12 too??
new cables,hoses etc..

thats really good...
it doesent matter if the exhaust manifold or system fit because im going to make me a new stainless one...
i know the alternator connector isnt the same ...but that is very easy to fix...=)

engine

last week i bought the 1.2 engine...with the ecc stuff??...but im going to use the inlet+carb+exhaust from the 1.0 to make the swap easier(the search tool is very good)...
i will post more updates this week
to do:
-swap the inlet+carb+exhaust
-change cambelt+pulley
-swap alternator+beltpully from the 1.0
(i bought a new just before my 1.0 borke down)
-check if the clutch is in good condition on the 1.2
-oil+filter

and then throw the engine in the car...

anything i forgot???

today i have swapped the intake, carb and removed the exhaustmanifold..

done yesterday:
new waterpump
new cambelt+tensioner
checked the clutch (it was in very good condition)
cleaned upp the engine a little bit

done today:
new sparkplugs
after an hour of swearing i got the engine in place(with help from a few friends)

to do tomorrow:
try to find the right place for all the hoses and cables...
and mount alt, airfilter, exhaust and fill upp with coolant and oil

and maybe it will be alive...
