last week i blew my head gasket ... so i started to remove the head...
and 2 of the #### head bolts broke in half... so 2 of the half headbolts are still in the block.... i tried to weld a nut to the remaining part of the head bolt and loosen it, but it broke again and again...
now to my question..
my dad got this strange idea:
is it possible to weld a new headbolt, cut in half, upside down to the remaining of the old headbolt to tighten up the head with a nut instead of a bolt??
o= Headbolt
x= Broken Headbolt
c= cylinder
inlet side
o o o o o
c c c c
o x o x o
exhaust side
i think i need a new head too...
i have a big crack between the intake valve and the exhaust valve on the 3rd cylinder
but
Maybe it is easier to do a engine transplant...
