Elected to go to court over fine??

Well i just received a fine from the council saying that i park my car illegaly, which i believe is stupid as the car in question does not belong to me. I dont own the car or have ever owned any car with the number plate stated on the fine.

Just want to know has anyone ever try using the "elected to be posecuted" option?

First step would be to contact the council and tell them of there stuff up. If that fails take it to court.

sounds like a classic case of mistaken identity, i wouldnt worry about it, nevermind taking it to court.

If you can prove that they have the wrong car then it should be as easy as calling the council
