ecu reset on Micra ST

Would Reseting the ECU on the ST fix its idle speed?
It always works on my mates Fiat Bravo if anything goes wrong?

And how do you reset the ECU on the ST?
On the Bravo you disconnect the negitive on the battery for 45 min
Start it for 5 min without reving or driving it, (let it find all the ideal sensor settings) then turn it off and start it again and drive.

No it won't work man,there unmetered air getting in somewhere and thats not going to fix it.Give me a day or two with that machine and if its in ok condition I'd have it fixed. . . .
