driving on the continent

i was just wondering if if anyones knows if im abel to drive on the continent as i am only 18? was pretty sure their was a restriction but have also been tld as long as i have my passport for crossing si shouldnt have a problem. helpppppppp please :p
 
thought it was 21 or something daft like that! not sure really. someone else is bound to know this

you've got to be 18 so you'll be fine.

Should be fine, however if your hiring a car, some places want you to be a certain age and have a few years experience etc! :)
 
yeah i'm pretty sure you won't be able to hire one, you'll have to be 21 or even 25 for that.
 
its only a day trip to france so wont be hiring car etc
but will need to send off my driving licence as its still on provisional
can't wait now :laugh:
 
Yeah, from my experience driving abroad it's down to your insurance company and whether they are happy with it.
