Door hinge!

When i lost my keys last October and had to get the recovery truck bloke to get into my car he used the wedge at the top of the door to prise it outward abit to get a long bit of metal down to unlock it!

Ever since then my door seems to have drooped a little bit and has therefore pulled the sealant from the top of my side skirt away as the door is rubbing on the top of the sill!

What can i do to solve this problem as i can lift the door up a fraction on the hinge and there is some play in it!

???

new door pins or what i done once was hold the bottom of the door and pull it upwards bending it back into position....its sounds rough but done the trick for me :wasntme:

you can't get new pins for the k11. new hinge only i'm afraid. and pulling the door upwards will only work for a while, eventually it'll fall again.

dodgy repair man im affraid..

i had a lady leave her keys in her car and i was in in about 15 seconds. with nothing more than a screq driver and a pair of molegrips....and she could still use the lock afterwords..;lol

mind you it was a ford escort..lol

but still, if he knew what he was doing he coul have been in there without causing any damage...

i used a coat hanger once when i locked my keys in, slid it down the rubber seal and pulled the lock open, took about 20 minutes tho so i wouldnt have been the best thief in the world :suspect:

Well what i would like to know is what is the cheapest and easiest solution to this?

1. new door hinge?
2. second hand door pins?

How would i do such a job?

i bet it wouldn't work on a facelift micra, they've got a metal cover over the lock so you can't get to it ;)

and yes, as far as i'm aware, it's nissan only for the new hinge, but you could try a scrap yard first and take your chances.
