dim dip one lighted micra

hi, i have a 93 1ltr micra which has developed the one lighted trick which is well posted on the forum, the fuse link box was the first problem so the fuse for the near side light has been linked with a blade fuse connector, but that hasn't sorted the problem, i have no dipped or high beam on that side at all, opened up the switch, bridged the terminals to make them work and still nothing, haynes manual points me to the dim dip unit which does seem a likely suspect, but where the hell is it??????!!!!! i think its under the dashboard somewhere but the little bugger is hiding and doesn't want to be found, please help

above the fuses in the dash..... can get to it (i think) by removing the instrument binnicle.

thanks for that found it this morning, it appear s to be okay, but all the wiring to it is either burnt through or welded together its a real mess, so that swhere the problem lies, just need to find out why now, fun and games!!!!!!!!!!!1
