digital odometer

hi guys, just a quick one, I managed to stick a screwdriver through the lcd display of my micra k11 facelift(2001) trip counter, so I want to change the clocks over, will the milage read correctly as before or will it read the milage of the car that the new clocks came off? regards, Tom

I believe it reads it off the ecu so swapping clocks should be fine but not 100% of this. Hopefully some one will be along soon with a definitive answer!
