Died.

Littlewood

Here comes the BOOM!
:O..

Come out of the carwash, n the motor refused to start.

waited about thirty minutes, and tried again a couple of times. still nothing.

so instead of leaving it in the petrol station for the night, I rung the Rac (mayerswell I pay for it.)

after a bit, he got it started.

He just had to clean the carb a bit and prevent the choke from being allways on.

But on the way home the car felt like it was missing a lot, 'Kangarooing' down the road and I kept on having to change down the gears and really rev the engine to stop it?

Yeah i'd say it's electrical/dizzy related. Check the seal on the dizzy cap isn't perished, or the cap itself isn't loose.

WD40'd the distribution cap, have cleaned the points, the choke flap was open yes but the guy from RAC sorted that.

Gonna swap the plugs now :upside:.

New plugs, thoroughly cleaned HD leads and distributor cap.

Now she's running like a charm!

HT leads :p

I was gonna suggest changing those if you still had problems. Mine caused me similar problems until i got Magnecor ones
