Most people seems to go with a turbo conversion of the micra engine rather than an engine transplant for more power. Adding a turbo seems easier than the custom fabrication required for engine mounts, chassis, drive shafts etc.
I don't know of anyone in Australia that has done this conversion. However I am aware a few people on www.micra.org.uk have.
