Car acting funnyE

Recently, the "Check Engine" light has come on in my 2001 1.0 GX. I took no notice of it when it first came on, but I've notice that my car seems a bit slow all of a sudden.

At idle, when I floor the accelerator, it revs up to about 3000 rpm and wont go higher for a few seconds, then it will rev up more. The same thing happens when I change gear. It will rev to 3000 and no further till a few seconds later.

I'll admit the car was lying up for 2 years, but I got new spark plugs and changed the oil and filter as soon as I got the chance.

Anyone know what might be wrong??

i have this sam problem read the fault code and it says car runs to lean

So if it is because the car is running too lean, how could I fix it??

And Glen, on start-up, does your car refuse to go over abot 2000-3000 revs untill its running a few minutes??

yea exact same ive just changed the lambda sensor but didnt cure it. is urs a coil pack

maf problem maybe ? (they,re removable/replaceable on yours eh)

how do u check the maf on a 1.0 coilpack

Yeah, it's the coilpack model. I used carb cleaner on it the other day, and it didn't really help.

Anyone know, apart from the stock throttle bodies, would fit directly into a 1.0 Micra (2001).
I've decided to change the whole thing and get new sensors ect.

just unplug your maf sensor and see if it runs better as mine is cured now as i changed it but while i waited on the part i just unplugged it
