boot/petrol release cable

does anyone have any experience at fitting a new boot/petrol release cable and how you go about fitting it.

does all carpet and seats have to come out etc etc.....

any help

when i fitted mine i had to peal back the lining in the boot,
unscrew the plastic clip thing
insert the new release mechanism and screw it in place (make sure you get it the right wat round with the bevel)
route the cable behind the plastic interior and underneath carpet to drivers side

same as what paddy said but i made the cable go under the rear seats n then down drivers door n also to fit the handle thing if u not got it what i had to do was make a hole in the sil kinda thing at the bottom i drilled holes in a circle formation then got a hammer n chisel but u do have to peel back the carpet abit tho but is easy n i removed my driver seat for easier access to the sill n get drill in
