Boosting radio signal?

Hi

I have a K11 with Sony Xplode system installed but the radio pick up on it isnt very good at all (worked fine in other car). When the car is switched off the MW and LW radio works fine but as soon as I start the car then I just get aload of interference.

Does anyone know what might cause this and is there some kind of booster maybe that will work? if so any particular makes to look for or avoid?

Theres something that you can plug onto your altenator to stop out the noise, cant remember what its called tho, maplin sell them! As for the ariel boost, i dnt really think there is much you can do, do you have a bee sting style antenna or is it the standard antenna? Also check the connections to your head unit and the mounting of the antenna
