Bonnet release cable

It's there any way to shorten the cable? Cause when I go to close the bonnet I have to pull the cable again so it will latch

Sounds like an adjustment or sticking mechanism issue rather than the cable. And the cable can't be shortened because it's got a little bobble on the end to pull the mechanism with. I would say that it's just your return spring not being able to move the latch all the way into place for some reason. Give it all a good clean and oil then check it, if it's still not right then loosen the retaing bolts and adjust the latch. You should be able to rest the open bonnet onto the catch and then easily push it shut with just your thumb and middle finger, ping, locked. (Y)
