Hi all, me again! I want to repair the fuel cap/hatch cable. If you lift the rear carpet that covers the left side rear wheel arch you will see the cable and i have obtained the mechanical latch to refit as mine was missing. The cable has two lugs that fit on the latch one of these is broken so i think i need to replace the whole cable? I just need to know are there two cables one for the tailgate latch and the petrol cap? or do they both work off the same cable?

Thank you for your reply. it looks like i will have to replace the whole cable as the plastic grommets on the cable have broken and i do not think they are repairable.
I succesfully repaired with a part of cable but if Maarten says I am incorrect then I will accept. It is not so hard to replace it, be sure to put it back like it was, really. At the trunk lock you can adjust it to make it work properly. I did it with someone having experience and we did all wel could and yet it sometimes makes a squeak, clueless how that was possible so didn't bother to fix it soon either
