I know this is slightly random but is there anyone on this site who knows a bit about BMW's???

I only ask as Ive got the oportunity of making one my own for peanuts of a price! Only problem being the current owner has stripped the engine+gear box.

Im just interested in how difficult a engine swap is in one of these things, Understandably theres going to be a lot of complications but all in all I think it could be a good project.

Its a 1990 BMW 535 I SE Auto E34

If you have the correct engine for the car, probably an easy bolt in job.

Join Retro-Rides and ask on there, particuarly look for responses from bodieanddoyle he works for a BMW specialist and has carried out engine conversions of this kind.

don't forget old beemers are dirt cheap anyway. A neighbour of Alex's bought a 92 reg three series for £100, bargain.

Blimey, was it in good nick? this 90 reg 500 series i think it is is under £40, only problem being engines on ebay seem to be £500 min! Mind if I could find a bashed up one in a scrappy with a decent engine its bound to be a lot lot cheaper!
