black exhaust smoke help me please!!!!

hey guyz. i have ah problem. if my micra is smoking black from the exhaust. Wat does that mean? post your comments or suggestions and solutions thanks.

Does the exhaust smell of petrol or burning oil?

Have you put diesel in it?

I wouldn't put diesel in a gas engine car. the grade of gas isn't the best quality that i use so could that be one of the problems. the smell of the exhaust smells like petrol.

Sounds like it's running rich, is the auto choke stuck on?

The carburator is new and the auto choke isn't connected. Is the air or gas mixture is running rich?

WAY too much fuel, if you took the air filter off (temporarily) it'd probably clear up. Replace your air filter, it may be dirty

look at the colour of the spark plugs, Black soot = too rick
Brown tan = just right
Grey = Too lean

If its not 'connected' doesnt that mean its on permanently...? The wire makes it come off....no ??
