This is my first Micra so bear with me.

I know the thicker belt is the alternator belt and it uses a timing chain. Am I correct in assuming that the thinner belt is just the fan belt and serves no other major purpose?

Hi Steve, no fan belt on a K11 its electric , the thinner belt of the two that run off the crank pully drives the water pump & powersteering pump (if its fitted)
