Automatic Rear Wiper Problem

Hello, guys.

The rear wiper does not activate when engaging the rear washer nozzle, meaning that I have to engage the rear wiper manually.
Anyone know how I could resolve this?

My Micra is a K11 GX reg 2000.


EDIT: The automatic wiper feature has worked in the past but stopped around a year ago.

I think that's by design on these cars

Only the front one on mine activates when I spray the jets, not the rear. My guess is that the first one is a legal requirement so that the driver's view isn't obstructed but that the rear one isn't a legal requirement and so only that way on some cars and not others

Tho can fit a Almera, primera stalk on the works it

Cheers guys, I forgot to mention that mine does have that feature but it stopped working about a year ago, not sure why.

Perhaps issue with the wiper motor?

Probs the stalk, I had one where it wouldn't park , it stop where you stopped it, the stalk was at fault
