automatic gearbox gear changes

hi guys,

as the title suggests I have a k12 automatic which I bought for my girlfriend to take my daughter to school in, recently after tightening the drive belts my Mrs has said that the gearbox doesn't seem to change through the gears very easily. they don't seem to change until 2500 revs, i this normal? she also said it seems to be sluggish om inclines? I plan to change the gearbox oil and filter on the weekend is there anything else i should be looking at?

Sorry i don't have an auto and hated working on them so much i used to point them to a local gearbox place. ATF change is a good start, it can present as you describe when low or worn out.
2.5k isn't to far off too be fair.
