anyone lowered the steering wheel?

howdy peeps..

just been looking at my car from the drivers seat and noticed, i cant actualy see the dials and there is an enormous gap from my knees to the steering wheel. not only that but when i eventualy get my bucket seat mounted correctly the wheel is going to be a bit of a stretch.

now i have a flat wheel but i have a boss kit and a whopping great quick release spacer attached.


has anyone lowered their steering wheel by adding spacers to the mounting bolts on the steering column? getting in and out wont be a problem as i can just remove the wheel if i need to....

does anyone know of a better way?

mine has got 2 x 17mm nyloc nuts as spacers with longer bolts fitted ant, i dont know how low you can safely go tho

Does anyone know what the steering adjustments on a primera are, and if you could possible swap over the top half the of the column?

mine has a steering column adjustment but my seat is soo far back and low down i need it lower so i can see the dials...lol

so my driving position is more like a btcc car.... I WIN!!..lol

mines adjustable and i have spaced it down with longer bolts and spacers
