almera gti engine

just a thaught.
has anyone fitted/tried to fit an almera gti engine in a micra?
thaught it might be a good project.

you can get around 120hp quite easily/cheaply chip, but 160 would need meggabucks tho

my k11 is running about 110 at the fly wheel. its got micra challenge cams, grp a airbox and full janspeed exhaust system.

1ltr pistons, head skim and a remap next then!

ive got a 1300 so i wouldnt have thaught 1ltr pistons would make a difference.

they raise the C/R a couple of points chip (well worth it with those cams you have)

yea chip like what has been said, you should be looking at 1L pistons, head skim, porting and polishing, a map and some lightning of the engine parts you could also look into improveing the inlet manifold....i think there is a few bhp could be had from a better one.

the 1.0 piston swap is a cheap mod tho chip, if you diy (covered in my blog :grinning

Or you coils go the bike carb route for a stage rally car like in my blog, I'm running the CGA 1.4 engine with carbs, skimmed head and 773 cams.
Take a look at my blog, Chirs's 1.0 grasstrack micra is putting out big figures for a 1 litre!

Best thing you can do is save your money and get a dog box. It was the best money we ever spent on ours.
Next would be go ITBs to get the best out of your cams.
