After Advice from GA16 K11 owners

How have you guys fitted the top engine mount on your K11s?

Have you gone for customising the top mount by removing the weld, cutting it in half and re-welding it or another way?

If I can get my way up and running it could make the whole 1.6 K11 process a lot easier!

Hey ollie mine is currently in three pieces: Micra mount bolted to a plate which is bolted to the block mount followed by a plate underneath it(I'm going to re-do this mount with a single plate welded up as mine is getting weaker due to the metal i used which wasnt thick enough etc. you shouldnt have to change the mount in anyway if your cuttin the chasis leg, but I have avoided doing this hence my mount needed to be custom.

(this is if your refering to the drivers side mount)

yes thats right which is why I'm using the micra's mount in addition with a plate made up to fit the ga16 block. what part is confusing you, sorry??

yes but the GA16 engine mount was too wide to fit inbetween the Micra mount.
