200,000 miles on k12 Micra...possible?

Hi all,

My k12, which I've had from 3,000 miles on the clock and six months old, so practically from new - has now got 117,000 miles on the clock and is just starting to feel a bit old just little things like noisy wiper motor and needing new disks as I think one is warped...nothing major.

A new job means I need to be doing 20k miles per year, I could quite easily get a new motor, but I fancy trying to get 200,000 miles on this one.....do you think it's sensible or makes more sense to get a new motor?

I guess look after what you've got and it will look after you.
Or if you can't... Get something newer.

Any engine/car no matter how old can last as long as its properly maintained

give it a go....as already mentioned keep serviced regularly and generally take care of her and surely she'll last for years more to come

Mine's at 76,000 at the moment and still feels brand new to me ^_^ (she a 2005 dci and IMO drives better than any of the cars I've driven/hired that were lower miles/practically brand new)
