1.2 enegine rebuild

I have recently acquired a micra with a 1.2 engine,

It has covered 100,000 miles so its getting pretty old and I'm not expecting it to last that much longer. The question is how much would an engine rebuild cost (approx)? I could make it a long term project and do it myself but is there a kit out there or would I have to buy all the components individually such as pistons,valves,crankshaft etc. How readily available are the parts? I would be retuning the engine back to stock I'm not trying to gain power!

it can quickly turn into a moneypit organdonor, because most of the parts will be ni$$an only
does it rattle or drink oil ?

Not that I'm aware of but I haven't had the car that long! The only problem it has is the fact when cold starting you need to pump the accelerator 3 times or so before it will start up. I just think it would be nice to start from fresh with a good engine.
