yeh, that's what I suggested to my mate, that it was a completely different car but the ebay guy says its definitely from a k11 (I guess one of the very very late ones!). Should I just tell him to get another box from a 2001 car say?

a friend of mine is trying to fix up a k11 he bought recently. Needs a new gearbox so he bought one on ebay but when it arrived he says it doesn't fit and that the sensor is in the wrong place? It's a 2001, 1 litre, manual box. The box he bought was from a 2003, 1 litre. Any ideas why...

well they were free, who can say no to a freebie? I don't think chrome would look that bad on a white bonnet.... couldn't find anything small enough to poke in the hole anyway so I'll be sticking with the usual black ones for now.

Sorry to drag up an old topic but I'm going to be a bit dim and ask, which bit is the external resisitor? Is it the small white box near the coil or is it the small cylinder mounted underneath (or is that the power transisitor)? Here's a pic: Could someone point out which is which? Thanks.

Anyone know what the maximum towing limit on a K10 is? Looked in Haynes, not there, tells me to look in owners manual, not in there either, tells me to check VIN plate. Done that and there are two different numbers, 1120kg and 1670kg. Any idea which number means what? Thanks.

The pre-facelift GSX's had black surrounds on the dials, black steering column cowling and black steering wheels but centre consoles were standard grey.

Not kitted but certainly standard in white, (http://www.moddedmicras.co.uk/upload/files/23-05260001.jpg) also seen them in red, i think its only the black ones that were two tone. White ones only got semi colour-coded grills and a sticker on the door that said Colette. Very exciting :p

Thanks (to Wayne), I've managed to get my finger on it, can feel it clicking and can just about see it through the gap where I some stuff off. Before I go any further into destroying my car, is there an easy way to get to it or is the whole hog of removing the dash?

Had a quick search in the forum and not found an answer so I'm just going to come right out and ask here. Could someone please tell me where the indicator relay is (in a 1991 K10 LS). I thought it was the blue box above the fuse box but Haynes manual says its by the steering column. Stuck...
