Guess what I'm up too this christmas?
Rebuilding the engine in the st due to a melted piston in cylinder 3
Was my own fault:blush: running it at 1.2 bar on normal octane fuel, thats what I reckon anyway.
Alls good now though, the engines ready to be put back together just waiting on a few things to come from japan( headgasket, inlet and exhaust gaskets bolts etc )
originally thought it was a big end bearing gone but luckily I pulled the cylinder head and found a partially melted piston which sounded extremly loud when the car was started cold.Did'nt do much damage to the bore as I did'nt run it long after the noise came into it.
I learning alot though still not in a good humor when I look into the garage and see the thing lying there with no engine in it.
