Wiper problem

Hi guys,

I have a wee problem with my drivers side wiper. The joint where the arm attaches is moving which means the blade doesn't sit flush on the windscreen. It also means part of the arm is fouling against the edge of the bonnet. If it push on the arm/joint it goes back into position but seems to be sprung and jumps back as soon as you let go.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this? I will try and get a pic tomorrow as I appreciate my description isn't the best.

Cheers!

Ok, I looked at this today. The wiper arm is on tight. It's the bolt that connects to the arm that moves.

As it sits normally

When I push on i the arm it sits flush but when you release the arm it springs back like the pic.

normally the plastic joints underneath the scuttle panel goes which causes them to squeak and move. If you can move the connector coming out of the scuttle panel up and down it means the plastic joints have worn out.
