Which coolant?

Hi, I have a 2001 Micra (1.0 engine), and I'm about to ask two noob questions, so I apologise in advance. The coolant level is low. I went to halfords and the two types of anti freeze they have one is "Silicate (IAT) based" and the other is "Silicate-free (OAT)" . Which one is most suitable for my Micra?

My other question is can I just top it up or will I have to drain the system first?

Nissan's stuff is called L250. I've just had a good Google to find out what the equivalent is but no-one knows. Apparently Nissan won't even tell Halfords so they can sell an alternative. Personally, I'd stick with Nissan stuff .

I just had another look in the manual, and it says "L2N or equivilent". Is L2N the same as L250?
