whats this for?

whn i stripped my car out the other week i noticed i had some plugs under the carpet just behind the seat belts.... and i have no idea what they are for..

they have a white plug on them, (one either side) and two cables.... they look like the speaker cable in the boot for the parcel shelf, (all you super s guys) but its not them cos thats still plugged in..


any ideas???

if you mean the cables just behind the front seat belts and just in front of the rear bench, there if i remember correctly they are for the ABS system (if installed)

well its not got abs, but i nearly had a rear axle from a glx 4 door with disks and abs.....

hmmm interesting..

yes they are for abs sensors, but it'd be a complete ball ach fitting abs there's so much involved, new hubs for front, outer cv joints, the rear axle, all wires and sensors, abs actuator and it's different brake pipes, the brake servo is also different and possibly master cylinder,
and that's just off the top of my head!

My version of ABS: Stand on brake pedal, when wheels lock remove foot, re-apply foot, repeat.
