im really unsure as itss stolen/recovered! and would this affect my insurance having the car as a cat-c? and why would it be a car-c if its just got lock damage?

if it was stolen its probably been rallied! Id stay clear of it, you dont know what the engine has been through!

i wouldn't stay away from it just on the basis of a potential thrashing of the engine. it's gonna have been stolen and driven for what? a couple of hours? if for the rest of its life it's been driven by a granny (hey, it stands a chance), then a few hours of high revving won't do much damage, not to a cg13 engine anyway.

full service, thorough check over, locks done, and it *should* be fine. depends how much it'll cost for it to be sorted though of course.

i'm sure someone will correct me if they disagree...

if its been gone once, it can be gone twice! If you do go for it, get a decent alarm and immobilisor!!
