Water Trail? (thought it was oil) - Strange Water in the car etc (K11 2001)

so the k11 micra has been standing for a long time (several; years) This is what i've done.


- NEW ENGINE AIR FILTER
- NEW OIL FILTER
- NEW FUEL FILTER
- FOUR NEW SPARK PLUGS
- NEW RADIATOR
- NEW ALT/BELTS
- NEW BATTERY

Been dragging it around the street back n forth
noticed a long water trailer fromthe left side i've checked and nothing seems leaking from pipes etc so what is this?
Also the floor on the passanger side is soaking wet as well (used a wet vac to get rid of it)
the spare wheel in the boot a the bottom (under the carpet) is SOAKING WET as well...

so what is the cause? Seals broke somewhere? blockages? or??

The leak in the boot could be broken seal on one of the rear lights clusters. Leak in the front passenger side could be a leak in the scuttle panel under the windscreen wipers there's a plastic plug under windscreen that rots out. Also check that the sunroof drain pipe on that side is draining off properly sometimes the plastic pipe moves and ends up draining out into the cabin instead of out through the sill. If you search on here there are plenty of threads with pics. Hope that helps

My K11 doesn't have a sunroof but yeah could be blocks on the seals somewhere.

Sounds like the scuttle panel then.
