Virtual Private Networks

I know there are some PC peeps in here older then me, so has anyone ever dealt with a VPN. The reason im asking is because if you crack this live for speed game you cant play it only with all the cars. But i think you can with a LAN, so would we be able to play a LAN game over a VPN? I've never used VPN before because its not really used for anything :s

should work but you will need a VPN Server, and dont ask me what one of those are

actually on having a 2nd look on xp its very easy to set up a vpn server, you need to make one of the computers set up an "advanced connection" then "accept incoming vpn connections"

have a play about lol, let me know if it works as i have never used vpn either
