So today i jumped in the ST (bumperless at present remember) to my mates house where the bumpers are getting painted.

driving very sedately with no dying camel noises being made to limit the amount of attention the car got

going the other way was a highway patrol car, of course as i looked in my rear view mirror they turned around and a few streets later pulled me over

conversation went a little like this:

P: Mate whats the story with the parts missing from your car
S: Heading over to my mates house to pick up the bars they are getting painted
P: Count to 10 into this
S: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
P: Is this your car? Are you the registered owner? Can i have your license please?
S: Yes. Yes and Yes.
P: Get out of the car please mate and pop the bonnet
S: *thinks*: oh #### here we go... jump out and open the bonnet
P: Is that front mount intercooler setup stock?
S: The car is basically how i got it, it was imported a few years ago from just jap (local imports place) and i've just fixed up a few things on it
P: What is it?
S: March ST, Twin Charged, 900cc
P: *blank expression on face* really?
S: Yep. Little, but good fun.
P: *points to pod* this needs to be covered, its an $80 fine
S: No problem i'm sure i can get an airbox for it
P: FMIC all looks okay but uncovered POD's aren't
S: Ok.
P: *hands back license* have a good night


and that was it!!

I was lucky, very very lucky.
 
sounds like you got a nice officer, these are a rarety these days.

Did you get a pic of him a pic of a nice officer would be worth a fortune.

Good story man you get cops like that, I hav'nt got stopped in the st for a while, but they usually have a strange look on their face while talking to me ,
How did you get on with the bumpers?(Y)
