My SLX is running Pirellis on it's stock 13" rims, sorry don't know the exact tyre size but was wondering what sort of tyre pressure should they have? 30psi or more?

Around 36psi cold though.
You'll know when they're overinflated because they will wear badly and the tread surface wont be flat.

» CMF MemberHi mallie, if you look inside the glovebox there should be a sticker that provides the recommended pressures. I usually run around 2 - 4psi extra for a bit of extra 'feel'. Wow... 40psi is a lot, I imagine the ride must be rock hard.

» CMF Memberyes cisco, when i havent been driving they have 36psi in them and after i have been driving for long distances (ie: more than 30 minutes constantly) they rise to 40psi.
However this may differ around the world (assuming i could take the piece of sh!t to different areas in the world without it trying to kill me), depending mainly on atmospheric pressure and surrounding air temp.

» CMF MemberI also run 40psi and get very even tire wear.
Just be a bit carefull at that pressure you'll get better dry road handling as the tire will not roll on the rim as much but there is a definate reduction in wet road braking and handling.

» CMF MemberI usually exceed the maximum rated pressure by 10%. I usually wear the outsides like they're under inflated.

» CMF Memberwow you all have high tyre pressures either that or i have really low pressures. i have about 27/8 in the fronts and 28/30 in the rears
